Accident at VICTORIA INTL BC (CYYJ)

Summary

2021-04-13: A Victoria Flying Club Cessna 172S (C-FGIM) from Victoria, BC (CYYJ) to Victoria, BC (CYYJ) suffered a hard landing with a propeller strike. No operational impact.
2021-07-15: UPDATE: TSB Report #A21P0024: The pilot of a Victoria Flying Club Cessna 172S, C-FGIM, was following other aircraft in the circuit for Runway 09 at Victoria, BC (CYYJ) when, on final approach to land, ATC advised that winds were "220 at 06 knots". The pilot elected to continue the approach at 70 Knots Indicated Airspeed (KIAS) and 10 degrees of flaps. While in the landing flare, the propeller struck the runway. The aircraft veered towards the runways edge, and the right wing tip contacted the ground before the aircraft came to rest. The pilot exited Runway 09 at Taxiway Golf. ATC advised the ARFF unit, which attended the scene. The pilot was wearing both lap and shoulder harnesses, and was not injured. The aircraft was towed to the flying club facility.
