Incident at 12NM W VANCOUVER INTL BC (CYVR)

Summary

2020-07-29: A privately registered Beech C24R from Qualicum Beach, BC (CAT4) to Delta, BC (CAK3) was observed on radar entering the Vancouver, BC (CYVR) control zone 12 miles West of CYVR, at 2300 feet above sea level (ASL), heading East. The CYVR tower attempted to contact the aircraft multiple times, to no avail. At Coal Pile, at 2143Z, the aircraft contacted the tower and requested clearance through the control zone. The aircraft was instructed to contact the Vancouver/Boundary Bay, BC (CZBB) tower. No impact to operations.
