Incident at LANGLEY REGIONAL BC (CYNJ)

Summary

2020-07-29: A privately registered Beech F33A on an IFR flight from Langley, BC (CYNJ) to Calgary/Springbank, AB (CYBW) did not follow the IFR departure clearance off of Runway 01. The aircraft departed straight out, and when the tower attempted to contact the aircraft to get them to turn towards the WHATCOM VORTAC (HUH) very high frequency omnidirectional range (VOR), there was no response. The aircraft had switched to the Victoria, BC (CYYJ) terminal without being instructed to by the tower. No impact on operations.
