Incident at VANCOUVER INTL BC (CYVR)

Summary

2020-03-23: A WestJet Boeing 737-7CT (C-GWBF/WJA302) on a flight from Vancouver Intl, BC (CYVR) to Regina Intl, SK (CYQR) reported a bird strike while departing Runway 26L.
2020-03-26: UPDATE from Airworthiness: A Civil Aviation Safety Inspector (CASI) looked into this occurrence. The flight crew on WestJet flight WJA302 departing CYVR to CYQR on March 22, 2020 reported a bird strike on the Captains side, near the pitot and Angle of Attack sensor, on take-off. The defect was recorded in log book. A WestJet ACA met the aircraft in Regina and performed a bird strike inspection in accordance with Boeing Aircraft Maitenance Manual (AMM) with no damage or bird remains identified. The aircraft was returned to service and has flown 3 legs and 12 hours 46 minutes since the bird strike with no related defects.
