Incident at FORT ST. JOHN BC (CYXJ)


2019-11-29: After departure, the pilot of a North Cariboo Flying Service Ltd. Beech 200 (C-FNNC/NCB3507) from Fort St. John, BC (CYXJ) to Fort Nelson, BC (CYYE) advised they had "an indicator" and would be returning to CYXJ on Runway 21. Aircraft landed Runway 21 without incident at 1717Z.
2020-02-06: UPDATE from Airworthiness: A Civil Aviation Safety Inspector (CASI) looked into this occurrence. Company maintenance troubleshot the landing gear safety switch of C-FNNC and found it not working. The landing gear safety switch was replaced and landing gear re-rigged. Function check completed by swinging the gear, no additional fault found. Aircraft returned to service.
