Incident at FREDERICTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Summary

2015-09-28: A Canlink Aviation Diamond DA 20-C1 (C-FNTK) on a local flight from Fredericton, NB (CYFC) was observed leaving the control zone and immediately squawked 7600. The aircraft continued North 5-10 miles then returned towards the airport. Tower determined the aircraft was transmit only. C-FNTK was given a flashing red light (unsafe aerodrome) due to an American corporately registered Dassault Falcon 7X (N887X) backtracking Runway 27. C-FNTK reported going to do a left hand circuit. The aircraft was given the green light, read back green light in sight and that the aircraft was cleared to land. Landed safely 1457Z and taxied back to Moncton Flight College.
