Incident at 30 NM W SAINT JOHN NB (CYSJ)


2015-09-17: A privately registered Van's RV 8 was VFR from Beverly, MA (KBVY) to Moncton, NB (CYQM), was being provided with flight following. After being given the CYQM weather, the aircraft decided to divert to Saint John, NB (CYSJ). Approaching CYSJ, the pilot was unable to see the airport and requested radar vectors. The aircraft was intermittent on radar and was suggested they climb for better radar contact. Once re-identified, the controller proceeded to give the pilot suggested headings to CYSJ. Approximately 10 west of the field, the pilot was able to see the runway. The aircraft landed approximately at 1505Z. No impact to operation.
