Incident at 10 miles W MIGLI INTERSECTION


2015-09-15: UPDATE: TSB Report#A15A0062: The American Airlines Airbus A330-300 (registration N270AY) was on a repositioning flight with 3 crew members only from Rome/Leonardo da Vinci, Italy (LIRF) to Charlotte, NC (KCLT). While approximately 50 nm north of the Stephenville, NL (CYJT) airport, the number 2 engine experienced a complete loss of oil pressure and was shutdown. The crew declared an emergency and diverted to Stephenville, landing safely. The company is replacing the number 2 engine.
2015-09-04: An American Airlines Airbus A330-300 (AAL9200) from Rome, Italy (LIRF) to Charlotte, NC (KCLT) reported loss of number 2 engine, declared an emergency. Requested re route to Stephenville, NL (CYJT), clearance was issued, Gander Area Control Centre (ACC) advised. Aircraft landed at 2039Z.
