Incident at 200.00 NM NNE GOOSE BAY NL (CYYR)
2015-08-24: Update: TSB Report #A15A0046: The Delta Air Lines Boeing 767-332 aircraft (N177DZ), operating as flight DAL271, was en route from Paris/Charles de Gaulle Intl (LFPG) to Newark/Liberty Intl (KEWR) with 11 crew and 208 passengers on board. The aircraft departed LFPG with an unserviceable left integrated drive generator (IDG). At about 200 nm NNE of Goose Bay, NL (CYYR), the auxiliary power unit (APU) failed. The flight crew performed the quick reference handbook (QRH) actions but was unable to recover the APU. Due to having only a single generator available, the flight crew declared an emergency and requested a diversion to the nearest suitable airport. DAL271 was cleared to land at CYYR with ARFF on standby and landed without further incident. The operator?s maintenance determined that the APU electronic control unit (ECU) had failed. The ECU and the left IDG were replaced and the aircraft was returned to service.
2015-08-11: At 1712Z, a Delta Air Lines Boeing 767 300 (N177DZ/ DAL271) from Paris, France (LFPG) to Newark, NJ (KEWR) declared an emergency and requested to divert to Goose Bay, NL (CYYR) due to operation on one generator with the emergency generator available. Two other generators were unserviceable, one prior to departure and the other during flight. Flight requested Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) at CYYR. Flight was cleared as requested and landed at 1747Z without incident.
2015-10-05: UPDATE: Aviation Incident Report#14013: Goose Bay, NL (CYYR) reported that Delta Airlines, Inc Boeing 767-300 had a mechanical division with one generator out. The aircraft landed at 1747Z.
