Incident at ST. JOHN'S INTL NL (CYYT) (FOD (foreign object debris), Aerodrome, runway or taxiway shutdown)


2015-07-20: A truck (TK91) was working on Runway 16/34 and blew a tire near the intersection of Runway 02/20. Field Foreman closed both runways due to foreign object debris (FOD) from blown tire. A PAL Airlines de Havilland DHC-8-315 (PVL913), from Deer Lake, NL (CYDF) to St. John's, NL (CYYT), and a Jazz Bombardier CL-600-2D25 Series 705 (JZA8990), from Halifax, NS (CYHZ) to St. John's, NL (CYYT), were delayed 10 to 15 mins before commencing approach. Runway 16/34 was opened at 1135Z.
