Incident at DEER LAKE NL (CYDF)

Summary

2015-06-24: After take off Runway 25, an Air Canada Embraer E190 (ACA683) from Deer Lake, NL (CYDF) to Toronto, ON (CYYZ) requested a check of the field for a possible Bird Strike. The pilot indicated they thought a bird might have been ingested into the one of the engines just as they were airborne. Field maintenance (ST22) did a field check and discovered remains of a seagull. Field maintenance cleaned up the remains and checked remainder of the runway. This information was passed along to the pilots who indicated they had no problems due to the bird strike and were continuing onto Toronto.
