2015-05-10: UPDATE: TSB Report#A15A0018: The Air France Cargo Boeing 777, registration F-GUOC, operating as Air France 6738, was on a flight from Paris to Chicago. While in cruise, the #2 engine (General Electric GE90-110BAL) lost complete oil pressure and the crew shut down the engine. The crew declared an emergency, requested descent, and a diversion to Halifax. The flight dumped fuel and landed safely with ARFF standing by. Maintenance is investigating.
2015-04-22: An Air France Boeing 777 200 (AFR6738) from Paris, France (LFPG) to Chicago, IL (KORD) declared MAYDAY and advised that the number 2 engine had failed and was requesting descent to FL220. Aircraft continued on course until 0001Z, when pilot requested to turn back to Halifax, NS (CYHZ). Flight dumped fuel inbound from 0003Z until 017Z. The aircraft landed safely at 0030Z.
