Incident at GANDER INTL NL (CYQX)

Summary

2015-03-31: Update from Maintenance & Manufacturing: Troubleshooting was carried out by maintenance personnel. The starter/generator was found at fault due to a bearing failure. The starter/generator was replaced and function/leak checked as serviceable. As a preventative measure, oil samples were also taken for confirmation of no electrostatic discharge damage (EDD). The aircraft was returned to service.
2015-03-25: Area control centre (ACC) advised that an Exploits Valley Air Services Beech 1900D (C-GSNQ / EV7638) from Deer Lake, NL (CYDF) to Gander, NL (CYQX) was inbound due to a light indication. No assistance required. EV7638 was delayed approximately 5 minutes due to an Exploits Valley Air Services Cessna 158 (C-FPZC) radio failure (See CADORS #2015A0196).
