Incident at GANDER INTL NL (CYQX)
2015-02-24: An Exploits Valley Air Services Beech 1900D (EV800) on a local flight from Gander, NL (CYQX) advised breaking off approach to deal with minor issue. No assistance required. Aircraft proceeded south for 5NM. EV800 advised issue resolved and returned to land. Pilot later reported the issue was with the gear.
2015-03-05: Update from Maintenance & Manufacturing: Aircraft registration identified as C-FEVA. The flight crew reported that the landing gear would not extend due to a popped circuit breaker. The circuit breaker was reset by the crew. The landing gear extended normally and the aircraft landed without incident. Maintenance discovered that a service valve connector was corroded. Both the connector and plug was replaced, as well as the landing gear time delay printed circuit board (PCB). Gear swings were carried out and function tested as serviceable. Test flight was also conducted with satisfactory results.
