Summary

2015-02-10: An Air France Airbus A340-300 (AFR351) from St John's, NL (CYYT) to Paris, France (LFPG) taxied and departed Runway 29 at 1330Z. Due to the airport foreign object debris (FOD) procedures, every surface manoeuvred on by a heavy aircraft are closed until inspected and cleaned if required. AFR351 conformed with the procedures and FOD was immediately detected by airport personnel. A Government of Newfoundland and Labrador Beech 300 Medevac (C-GNLF) was delayed 10 minutes for the removal of FOD. No other operational impact.
