Incident at LETHBRIDGE AB (CYQL)

2014-04-07: UPDATE: TSB Report#A14W0042: The Integra Air Beechcraft 200 (BE20), C-GXHD, was operating as flight BXH454 from Calgary, AB (CYYC) to Lethbridge, AB (CYQL). While on approach to Runway 05 in CYQL the crew selected gear down. The handle unsafe gear lights remained on and there were no down and locked indications. The crew aborted the approach and manoeuvred visually while carrying out the applicable checklist. After performing the manual gear extension a down and locked indication was achieved. The crew decided to return to CYYC with the gear extended. The aircraft landed safely at CYYC with ARFF in attendance. Upon inspection company maintenance found that the hydraulic power pack motor had failed.

2014-04-02: A Bar XH Air Beech B200 (C-GXHD/ BXH454) from Calgary, AB (CYYC) to Lethbridge, AB (CYQL) executed a missed approach runway 05 at 0227Z due to the absence of positive gear lock indication. The aircraft circled the airport for approximately 20 minutes before electing to return to CYYC. No emergency declared. Aircraft rescue and fire fighting (ARFF) vehicles were requested for the arrival. The aircraft landed runway 17R at 0333Z without incident. No impact on operations other than to the aircraft involved.

2014-04-24: Update Maintenance & Manufacturing: Maintenance inspected the aircraft and found the hydraulic power pack motor to be unserviceable. This was the first motor in WinAir requiring replacement.
