Incident at 35NM SE of YELLOWKNIFE AIRPORT (CYZF)

Summary

2013-01-21: An Air Tindi Learjet 35 (operating as DA354) on a IFR flight indication of gear doors down. Aircraft elected to return to CYZF. No assistance requested and aircraft landed safely at 1811Z. No impact on operations.
2013-01-25: UPDATE Maintenance & Manufacturing: After departing Yellowknife, NT the crew selected the landing gear up and received a Nose Gear unsafe indication light. The gear was selected down and all gear down and locked lights came on, the crew decided to return to Yellowknife. The aircraft landed without further incident. Company Maintenance inspected the aircraft and found the Nose oleo ?flat? (fully compressed). During flight, with the gear selected up, this prevented the striker plate on the oleo from contacting the up lock switch. The oleo was serviced and gear swings completed with the system operating normally. The aircraft was cold soaked and a test flight completed (2 complete landing gear cycles) with normal system operation. The aircraft was returned to service and there have been no further reported incidents.
