Incident at CALGARY / SPRINGBANK AB (CYBW)

Summary

2013-01-07: A Mount Royal University Cessna 172 (C-GEKA) on a VFR flight reported a possible gear problem on final due to a rough landing at the CEN4 airport. Aircraft did a fly-by and tower advised that gear appeared down. Aircraft landed runway 25. Aircraft advised of a flat back left tire and disabled on the runway. Airport manager advised. No operational impact.
2013-01-23: UPDATE Maintenance & Manufacturing: The aircraft performed a touch and go at CEN4, and thought that they felt something out of the ordinary although nothing looked abnormal. They returned to CYBW to land. The aircraft was towed back to the hangar where the wheel was inspected before the tire was replaced and the aircraft was returned to service. There were no indications of a hard landing or of a skid.
