Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
2015-10-21: UPDATE: TSB Report#A13A0130: The North Cariboo Flying Service Canadair CL600-2B16, registration C-FPDR, was operating as NCB9101 on a flight from Moncton (CYQM) to Calgary (CYYC). After departure the crew received indications that the nose landing gear had not retracted and had remained in the full down position. The flight crew cycled the landing gear with the same results, reported the problem to the controller and requested vectors back to CYQM where they landed safely with ARFF standing by. After consultation with company maintenance a second attempt to depart was made on the following day with similar issue, and another return to CYQM. It was then decided to fly the aircraft to company maintenance base at CYYC with the landing gear remaining in the down position.
2015-10-21: Two minutes after departure the pilot of a North Cariboo Flying Service Canadair CL600-2B16 (C-FPDR/ NCB9101) from Moncton, NB (CYQM) to Calgary, AB (CYYC) reported that the nose wheel would not retract and requested vectors back to Moncton for an ILS runway 29. Landed safely with CFR on standby.
