Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
2015-10-21: A Canlink Aviation Diamond DA 20-C1 (C-FEGL) was returning from a cross country flight from Moncton, NB (CYQM) and was cleared to the left hand downwind runway 11. After initial contact, the pilot reported a rough running engine and requested to land on runway 24. The pilot advised that no emergency assistance was required. The pilot was cleared straight-in runway 24 and landed at 2027Z.
2015-10-21: Update Maintenance & Manufacturing: The aircraft was snagged as rough running engine. Right mag issues. Maintenance checked the engine timing with no faults. All sparkplugs were checked, three were replaced due to wear and all other plugs were cleaned, gapped, tested and reinstalled. Aircraft ground runs were carried out with magneto checks normal and engine running smoothly.
