2015-10-21: JRCC Halifax SARSUM November 16 [S2013-01445]: (450197N 0644389W - Berwick, NS). Moncton ACC reported multiple high flyers receiving an ELT signal somewhere in NS or NB. JRCC was unable to narrow position of ELT via airborne reports, and the following resources were tasked from Greenwood, NS: two Aurora aircraft (R107 and R112), a Cormorant helicopter (R913) and a CASARA team. R913 localized the signal to the Berwick / Somerset area of NS, and the CASARA team isolated it to a local business. Industry Canada later determined that a digital video camera/recorder at the Avery's in Berwick was emitting a signal; however, shutting off the security system did not shut off the signal. There were no further ELT reports and no overdue or missing aircraft. Note that a second ELT case that occurred on the South Shore of NS in the Liverpool area was not related to this case (S2013-01450). Case Closed. AUR 107 405 - 0.0, AUR 112 405 - 1.3, CORM 913 413 - 1.9, CASARA1 - 0.0
