Incident at ST. JOHN'S INTL NL (CYYT)
2014-12-15: UPDATE: TSB Report#A13A0099: The Jazz Canadair CRJ-900, registration C-FUJZ, was operating as JZA8999 for a planned flight from St. John's airport (CYYT) to Halifax airport (CYHZ). After the landing gear was selected up, the main landing gear indication kept alternating from green to yellow and the nose gear indication remained red. The crew actioned the Quick Reference Handbook and after selecting gear down, the crew received 3 green lights, indicating that the landing gear was down and locked. After discussion with maintenance, the crew elected to return to CYYT and landed without further incident. Maintenance adjusted the weight-on-wheels sensors and returned the aircraft to service.
2014-12-15: A Jazz Aviation Bombardier CL-600-2D15 (C-FUJZ/ JZA8999) from St. John's, NL (CYYT) to Halifax, NS (CYHZ) departed St. John's, NL and immediately requested to level off at 5000ft to trouble shoot an issue. Aircraft later reported that it was unable to retract the landing gear and requested to return to the airport. No emergency was declared and the aircraft landed at 0045Z without further incident.
