Incident at GOOSE BAY NL (CYYR)


2014-12-15: An Air Labrador de Havilland DHC 6 Series 300 (C-GNFZ/ LAL200) from Goose Bay, NL (CYYR) to Rigolet, NL (CCZ2) had been cleared for takeoff runway 34 and just as they started to roll the aircraft had a bird strike (gull hit left wing). Pilot aborted takeoff, aircraft exited Alpha and returned to the terminal and dropped off passengers. The aircraft proceed to operations for check, returned to terminal and departed again 1048Z. No damage to aircraft.
