Incident at SAINT JOHN NB (CYSJ) (ELT)

Summary

2014-12-15: Strong ELT signal received continuously from 0712-0720Z, 0724-0730Z, 0731-0755Z, 0756-0803Z, 0804-0806Z, 0806-0810Z, 0814-0815Z. Signal was strong.
2014-12-15: UPDATE - JRCC Halifax SARSUM Report [S2013-00697]: U4 - 100717Z. ELT Gagetown (455163N 0663164W - Fredericton, NB). Moncton ACC advised airborne ELT report over Fredericton, as well Saint John FSS, Fredericton FSS and Coast Guard Radio detected ELT on 121.5MHz. The ELT was also detected on 243.0 MHz. Cormorant R911 retasked from completed case S2013-0696 to home ELT. R911 stood down as signal ceased before it could be located. Source believed to have originated from a 403 Squadron Griffon. Case closed. CORM 911 413 - 2.0
