Incident at 100NE YHZ


2014-11-18: UPDATE: TSB REPORT#A13A0066: The Air Canada Embraer 190 (registration C-FHKA) aeroplane departed Montreal Trudeau (CYUL) enroute to St John's International (CYYT). While in cruise flight over Charlottetown (CYYG) an engine 1 oil low pressure EICAS was generated. The crew actioned the quick reference handbook and shutdown the number 1 engine. The crew declared an emergency and requested diversion to Halifax. A safe landing was made at 2232. Maintenance replaced an oil pressure transmitter and the aircraft was returned to service.
2014-11-18: An Air Canada Embraer E190 (ACA634) on a flight from Montreal, QC (CYUL) to St. John's, NL (CYYT) lost an engine and declared an emergency and advised in emergency descent. Other aircraft were turned out of the way and the flight was given further descent and clearance to Halifax, NS (CYHZ). Halifax Tower was advised to inform Emergency Response Services. The aircraft landed safely at time 0132Z. No impact to the operation
