Incident at 10 NM SW SYDNEY / J. A. DOUGLAS McCURDY NS (CYQY) (ATM - ILS irregularity)


2014-11-18: A Jazz Aviation Bombardier CL600 2B19 (JZA8794) from Toronto, ON (CYYZ) to Cape Breton, NS (CYQY) reported at SASIK that there was no Localizer (LOC) and initially no Glide Path. JZA8794 requested vectors for a second approach. Charlottetown, PE (CYYG) FSS was contacted and re-cycled the instrument landing system (ILS) even though it was showing green. The aircraft landed runway 07 at 0430Z.
