Incident at 60N 032W

Summary

2014-11-05: At time 1503Z, a Virgin Atlantic Airways Boeing 747 400 (GVFAB/ VIR19F) from EGLL to KSFO declared a medical emergency and requested to divert to BIKF. ATC was unable to issue the flight an IFR clearance due to traffic. VIR19F conducted a contingency descent to FL300 and upon reaching was recleared direct BIKF. VIR19F exited the Gander OCA at 1526Z.
