Incident at HALIFAX / STANFIELD INTL NS (CYHZ)
2014-11-04: UPDATE: TSB report: A13A0037: The Air Georgian Hawker Beechcraft B1900D aircraft (C-GORI), operating as flight GGN7343, had taken off from Halifax enroute to Fredericton. After take-off the crew selected the landing gear up and noted that the red in transit light remained illuminated. The gear was selected down and no abnormalities were noted. The crew requested a return to Halifax and landed without further incident. Company maintenance replaced the nose gear uplock switch, carried out gear swings and returned the aircraft to service.
2017-03-06: GGN7343, Beech 1900D, enroute from Halifax (CYHZ) to Fredericton (CYFC), reported a gear indication after departure. The flight requested clearance to return to Halifax but no assistance was required. The airport duty manager was advised. The aircraft landed safely at 00:20Z.
2014-11-04: Update Maintenance & Manufacturing: The company maintenance personnel troubleshot the gear indication defect to a defective nose gear up lock switch. The switch was replaced and no further issues have been reported. A review of the usage of this part (PN 100-381006-1) indicated that they are reliable and that this was isolated event.
