Incident at 25 Nautical Miles Northeast of Halifax (CYHZ)
2017-03-06: C-GORI, Beech 1900D, enroute from Halifax (CYHZ) to Charlottetown (CYYG), advised the Halifax controller that there was a problem with the instrument display and that they would need to return to Halifax. No assistance was required. The flight landed without incident at 15:21Z. TSB Case Closed.
2014-11-04: UPDATE TSB: A13A0032: The Air Georgian Beech 1900D aircraft (C-GORI), operating as flight 7324, had departed Halifax and, while climbing through 2000 feet, the Captain's Electronic Horizontal Speed Indicator (EHSI) screen went black. Control was transferred the first officer and the aircraft continued climbing and leveled off at 11,000 feet. After discussing the incident with company maintenance personnel, the crew decided to return to Halifax. Flight 7324 landed at Halifax without further incident. Company maintenance replaced the captain's EHSI and display processer unit. The aircraft was returned to service.
2017-03-06: UPDATE Flight Operations: The flight was terminated when the Captains Electronic Horizontal Situation Indicator (EHSI) screen went blank. The affected screen was replaced by maintenance and the aircraft was returned to service. Subject to a tear down report, the company may submit a Service Difficulty Report.
