Incident at FREDERICTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (Aerodrome, runway or taxiway shutdown)

Summary

2017-03-06: UPDATE Airworthiness: Maintenance found that the lower fitting on the pilot?s side right-hand master cylinder had worked loose allowing all of the fluid to leak out from the right-hand side. The fitting was tightened, all remaining fittings at all four cylinders were inspected and tightened. The left and right brakes were bled and checked with no faults found.
2017-03-06: C-FUZG, Diamond DA 20 C1, in the circuit, was cleared to land on Runway 15 in Fredericton (CYFC) for wake turbulence separation from a Beech 1900 that departed ahead. While holding on the runway, C-FUZG indicated they had an issue with their brakes and needed to return to the apron. A few seconds later they advised that they were unable to taxi off the runway and needed to be towed. Runway 15/33 was closed from 20:02Z until 20:16Z. There was no impact on operations.
