Incident at GOOSE BAY NL (CYYR)

Summary

2016-08-16: PVL411, DHC 8 102, enroute from Voisey?s Bay (CVB2) to Goose Bay (CYYR) was vectored to Runway 08 at the minimum vectoring altitude of 3,100 feet. At 14:55Z the flight crew advised they received a terrain clearance warning and climbed back to 3,500 ft. The pilot indicated they were on the correct altimeter and suspected it was an equipment glitch aboard the aircraft. The aircraft continued on vectors at 3,500 feet until established on the localizer. The aircraft landed at 15:02Z without incident.
