Incident at FREDERICTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Summary

2013-02-05: UPDATE Airworthiness: The student heard a noise from the aircraft in the climb and thought that the top cowling oil door had come open. He returned to base and found nothing wrong with the oil door. He spoke with an instructor who explained that the noise was caused by air rattling the metal air vents when the pitch attitude changed. The aircraft has flown with no further issues.
2013-01-21: C-FNJW, Diamond DA 20 C1, departed from Runway 27 in Fredericton (CYFC) at 23:00Z. At 23:03Z, the pilot requested clearance to return to the airport due to an oil cap problem. No assistance was required. The aircraft landed safely at 23:09Z. There was no impact on operations.
