Incident at HALIFAX / STANFIELD INTL NS (CYHZ)

Summary

2013-01-21: UPDATE TSB: A13A0003: The Jazz Canadair Regional Jet CRJ100 (registration C-FSJU) departed Halifax (CYHZ) for Goose Bay (CYYR). The nose gear did not initially retract and a gear disagree message was displayed. After 10 minutes of troubleshooting the nose gear retracted on its own. The crew selected gear down, received a positive indication and returned to Halifax for landing with ARFF on standby. The aircraft landed safely 11 minutes after departure. Maintenance checked the nose gear rigging, WOW switches, oleo pressure and conducted approximately 30 gear swings without reproduction of the fault. The aircraft was returned to service.
2013-01-14: JZA8898, RJ100, enroute from Halifax (CYHZ) to Goose Bay (CYYR), departed at 21:10Z and at approximately 25 miles northeast of Halifax returned due to a landing gear issue. No assistance was required. Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighting (ARFF) was on standby. The flight landed safely at 21:31Z. TSB Case Closed.
