Incident at 54N 50W


2011-03-21: A privately operated Dassault Falcon 2000EX, enroute from London (EGGW) to Teterboro (KTEB) at 43,000 ft., reported 40W with 11 minutes spacing with traffic following at same speed. At 50W spacing had reduced to eight minutes where 10 minutes separation was required with the following traffic. The pilot advised that the aircraft flight management system had reduced the speed automatically. The aircraft was re-cleared to M080. TSB Case Closed.
2011-03-24: UPDATE TSB: A11A0009: The privately operated Dassault Falcon 2000EX, was on a flight from London, England to Teterboro, New Jersey and cruising at FL430 with traffic following at 11 minutes lateral spacing. At approximately 350 nm northeast of Gander, NL spacing was noticed to have reduced to 8 minutes where 10 minutes is required. The pilot reported that the aircraft flight management system had reduced the speed and was subsequently given an airspeed clearance to provide and maintain separation.
