Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Summary

2011-03-23: UPDATE TSB: A11A0007: The Kelowna Flightcraft flight 281, a Boeing 727-200, (registration C-GLKF), was on approach to Runway 29 and an unsafe right main gear indication was illuminated when the gear was selected down. An overshoot was conducted and an emergency was declared when the light remained after troubleshooting. An uneventful landing was conducted. Maintenance determined the right main proximity switch connector was dirty. The connector was cleaned and the system functioned checked serviceable. The aircraft was returned to service.
2011-03-08: KFA281 B727-200 enroute Halifax (CYHZ) to Moncton (CYQM) executed a missed approach due to an unsafe gear indication. The aircraft landed safely on the second approach at 01:16Z. There was no operational impact. TSB Case Closed.
