Incident at HALIFAX / STANFIELD INTL NS (CYHZ)

Summary

2011-02-23: N561LA, Air Tractor AT 602, enroute from Bangor (KBGR) to Halifax (CYHZ), landed on Runway 32 and taxied onto Runway 23 where it had a left brake failure and the aircraft spun. N561LA taxied to the apron without assistance and advised of missing brake parts. A runway inspection was completed but nothing was found. There was no impact on operations.
2011-02-24: UPDATE Maintenance & Manufacturing: The left brake was overheated from the landing roll out in a cross wind and when asked to expedite the exit off the runway, the pilot unlocked the tail wheel without checking the brakes first and this resulted in a ground loop. The aircraft was able to taxi to the ramp and no damage was sustained to the aircraft. Brake functionality returned after it cooled. The system was inspected and bled.
