Incident at FREDERICTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (TCAS alert)

Summary

2011-01-12: GGN7493, Beech 1900D, enroute from Halifax (CYHZ) to Fredericton (CYFC), was on a visual approach to Runway 27. C-FUZG, Diamond DA 20 C1, was flying the ripples departure. The ripples departure requires aircraft to remain north of the VOR at all times enroute to ripples, approximately 15 miles east northeast. C-FUZG had cleared the control zone and was it was recommended to remain north of the approach to Runway 27 reference the Beech 1900 traffic inbound and was cleared enroute. GGN7493 was informed of the traffic and advised they had the traffic identified on the Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS). At about 10 miles east, the aircraft passed each other and GGN7493 advised that it had a TCAS resolution alert reference C-FUZG. The aircraft was observed on radar just slightly north of the approach eastbound.
