Incident at HALIFAX / STANFIELD INTL NS (CYHZ)

Summary

2011-01-10: RRR2313, VC10, enroute from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (KFFO) to RAF Brize Norton (EGVN), advised the high level controller that his autopilot had failed and he was no longer equipped for Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM) (unable to continue with ocean crossing). The flight opted to divert to Halifax (CYHZ). No emergency was declared. The aircraft began dumping fuel at 4455/5949 at 20:50Z. The fuel dump was complete at 4448/6031 at 20:57Z. The aircraft landed without incident at 21:28Z.
