Summary

2011-01-10: Trend 25-26, F18, enroute from Spangdahlem Air Base (ETAD) to Shaw Air Force Base (KSSC), declared an emergency and requested clearance to land in Halifax (CYHZ). Trend 25-26 was cleared to 10,000 ft. and issued vectors. ACA655, Embraer E190, enroute from Halifax to Montreal (CYUL) was departing from Runway 32 in Halifax with a clearance to climb to 9,000 ft. The aircraft was cleared direct to Montreal, away from the formation. Trend 25 was issued vectors to turn behind ACA655 but continued before starting the turn and continued descent to 9,600 ft. This resulted in less than the minimum required separation between the aircraft.
