Accident at POKEMOUCHE NB (CDA4)

Summary

2010-12-16: UPDATE Update CACO: At 14:40Z, the aircraft was found four miles northwest of Pokemoushe (N4744 W6501). The sole occupant was fatally injured and the aircraft was destroyed. The Transportation Safety Board (TSB) has been dispatched to the site.
2010-12-15: C-GABL, Cessna 310R, was on an IFR flight from St-Hubert (CYHU) to Pokemouche (CDA4) with an estimated time of arrival of 01:57Z at Pokemouche. The last contact with the aircraft was 27 miles west of Pokemouche at 01:47Z. The aircraft is not at the destination airport. The Halifax Rescue Coordination Centre (RCC) reported an ELT signal in the area (belonging to C-GABL) and is investigating.
2010-12-23: UPDATE TSB: A10A0122: The Aero Peninsule Cessna 310, (registration C-GABL), departed St. Hubert airport at 1935 AST on an instrument flight rules flight for Pokemouche NB and did not arrive. JRCC conducted a search and located the aircraft at 1030 on December 16, six miles from the airport. The lone occupant was deceased and the aircraft destroyed by the impact and a post-crash fire.
2014-08-25: Update According to the TSB Final Report A10A0122 authorized for release on 09 November 2011.At 1941, Atlantic Standard Time, the Aero Peninsule Ltee (doing business as Air Optima) Cessna 310R (registration C-GABL, serial number 0927) departed the Montréal/St-Hubert Airport, Quebec, on a night instrument flight rules flight to the Pokemouche Airport, New Brunswick. Between 2156 and 2158, 3 transmissions were received from the occurrence aircraft?s 406 megahertz emergency locator transmitter; however, the signal terminated before the location could be determined. The wreckage was located 2 days later in a wooded area, approximately 5.5 nautical miles west-northwest of the Pokemouche Airport. The aircraft was destroyed by the impact and post-crash fire. The lone occupant was fatally injured.
