Summary
2010-12-13: At 01:34Z, BAW3573, Boeing 747-400, (Cargo) enroute from Frankfurt (EDDF) to Atlanta (KATL), declared an emergency due to an indication of fire in the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU). The flight requested to divert to Gander (CYQX) and was cleared as requested. The aircraft landed without incident at 03:01Z. Emergency response services conducted a visual inspection with an infrared camera. There was no sign of heat build up around the APU.
