Incident at Gander Oceanic/Domestic Interface
Summary
2010-12-08: An automatic report was received at 16:55Z from THY5, Airbus A340-300, enroute from Istanbul (LTBA) to Chicago (KORD) that indicated the flight was 13 nautical miles north of course. A demand report was issued indicating that the flight was 12 nautical miles north. Subsequent reports were received indicating the same. The flight was radar observed north of course. An incorrect 50W PX report was received by voice and confirmed by the flight with a time error of 25 minutes. There was no traffic.
