Incident at DEER LAKE NL (CYDF) (Communication navigation surveillance/air traffic system, ATS operating irregularity)
Summary
2010-11-26: EV7631 was on approach for Runway 25 in Deer Lake (CYDF). SPR916, SAAB 340A, enroute from Deer Lake to St. John?s (CYYT), was given clearance to depart from Runway 25 with a time restriction reference the landing aircraft. Subsequently SPR916 was issued a clearance by the Flight Service Station (FSS) to depart from Runway 07 without co-ordination with Air Traffic Control (ATC).
