Incident at FREDERICTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (ATS operating irregularity)
Summary
2010-11-08: SSH831, CL600, enroute from Fredericton (CYFC) to Palm Beach (KPBI), departed Fredericton from Runway 27 with a Standard Instrument Departure (SID). The controller identified the aircraft and initially instructed him to turn right and proceed direct but then corrected himself and told the aircraft to proceed on course. He then told the pilot that the airway would be a left turn and the pilot confirmed.The aircraft began to turn left but continued through the airway. The controller noticed that the pilot had gone past the airway and told him to continue the left turn to avoid a restricted area (CYR724). The aircraft subsequently passed one mile from CYR724 before intercepting the airway and proceeding on course.
