Incident at ST. JOHN'S INTL NL (CYYT)
Summary
2010-09-28: At 02:05Z, DAL116, Boeing 767-300, enroute from Atlanta (KATL) to Stuttgart (EDDS), approximately 100 nautical miles northwest of St. John's (CYYT), declared an emergency due to the shutdown of the starboard engine. The flight diverted to St. John's and landed safely at 02:35Z. TSB Case Closed.
2010-10-12: UPDATE TSB: A10A0102: DAL116, a Delta Airlines Boeing 767-300, was en route from Atlanta to Stuttgart when the flight crew noted what appeared to be indications of a compressor stall in the number two engine. The crew shutdown the engine, declared an emergency, and requested and received a clearance to divert the flight to St. John's NL. The aircraft landed safely without further incident.
