Incident at HECKK Intersection
Summary
2010-09-24: QTR084 (Qatar Airways), Boeing 777-300, enroute from New York (KJFK) to Amman (OTBD) at 33,000 ft. with an oceanic clearance at 33,000 ft. climbed to 34,000 ft. without clearance at the ocean entry fix HECKK. The aircraft was in radar contact in domestic airspace and was re-cleared to 33,000 ft. When queried, the pilot reported that he had received an Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) clearance at 34,000 ft. There is only one record of a clearance and that was at 33,000 ft.
