Incident at HALIFAX / STANFIELD INTL NS (CYHZ) (Alleged Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) infraction)
Summary
2010-09-01: Controller vectoring several aircraft for final Runway 32 for visual approach in Halifax. CME402 PA31 enroute Moncton (CYQM) to Halifax (CYHZ) was number 3 on approach being vectored to follow company CME 502 PA31 enroute Saint John (CYSJ) to Halifax (CYHZ) and a Westjet 737. Pilot advised he had company in sight. Controller verified 2 times whether he had company PA31 in sight to follow. CME402 continued then turned for the approach ahead of company traffic. Controller issued vectors to CME402 to maintain separation and re established the aircraft behind other traffic in sequence for Runway 32. Nil TSB
