Incident at HALIFAX / STANFIELD INTL NS (CYHZ)
Summary
2010-08-31: JZA896 enroute Boston (KBOS) to Halifax (CYHZ) inbound with hydraulic issues and possible gear problem. ERS was notified and standing by. Landed safely without issue at 2318Z. TSB Case Closed.
2010-09-14: UPDATE TSB: A10A0091: Jazz airlines flight 8896,a CRJ2, was 120 NM SW at FL330 when a HY3 HIGH TEMP CAUTION light illuminated. Both hydraulic pumps were selected off and hydraulic fluid temperature decreased. Both hydraulic pumps were then selected on but pressure did not increase. An emergency was declared and the QRH followed. The 3B pump was reselected on, this time causing pressure to return to normal returning the aircraft systems to normal. A normal landing was conducted at 2019 and an inspection conducted by ARFF. The aircraft on taxi to the gate encountered the same High temp caution light. Maintenance replaced the 3B hydraulic pump and the aircraft was returned to service
