Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Summary
2010-08-03: On initial contact C-FNJW, Diamond DA 20 C1, was cleared right base for Runway 11 via the Hillsborough arrival. The altitude restriction was cancelled four miles south and the aircraft was re-cleared right downwind Runway 11 to follow another DA 20 C1 in left downwind. C-FNJW appeared to be on base and was instructed to join downwind. Aircraft continued on base and descended to 500 feet. C-FJXI, Diamond DA 20 C1, was given instructions to conduct a 360- degree turn to avoid turning into C-FNJW.
