Summary

2010-07-20: WJA331, Boeing 737 7CT, enroute from Charlottetown (CYYG) to Toronto (CYYZ), was issued a Standard Instrument Departure (SID) and was observed on radar to be turning on course after departure. The pilot reported that he requested on course clearance upon departure from the controller and was given clearance however the aircraft was turning prior to communication with Air Traffic Control (ATC).
